I still think 8x3500 mah will fare better than 8x3000, even for regulated output. The amperage is so low, even a mid-drain cell like a GA or a MJ1 won’t sag much on the GT.
So maybe 2.5 hours to 70%, with some luck. That sounds great.

Welcome to BLF!
Will update list later
When or if a down payment is needed you will be informed.
I did a test with the TN42
It was pretty warm and there was no wind.
GT is both bigger and has more fins so expect it to behave better.
I have been buying my batteries from this person for over a 2 years now. I know some don’t care for Ebay but not all sellers are equal. He ships them from Palm Bay Florida and within three days they are at my front door every time here in Nevada. I’ll be using 8 of the LG MJ1 3500mah 10 amp batteries. I use these same batteries in my Olight X7 and my Thrunite TN40S with great results. Hard to beat 8 LG MJ1’s for 39.49

You linked to unprotected cells.
We were pricing protected cells earlier.
Unprotected are definetly easier to find and cheaper.
If you go to his store he carries just about any battery you are looking for, protected and unprotected.
Please add me to the list for 1. Thanks Brad

Hi ILF, nice to see you again.
It took the GT to bring you out of hibernation!
Yep. Just saw it on YouTube and said I have to have one.
Let me know how and when I can pay.

This is the run time test comparing 3500 cells against the 30Q. Keep in mind that this test was carried out with the old firmware which allowed the full 2.5 amps to run continuously. Now its set to 2 amps high with double click to 2.5 amps.
4 cells only in both tests.

I bought 8 Sam 35E's from this guy recently. I got GA's, MJ1's, and 35E's now, and prefer the 35E's for the little higher capacity. Testing the 35E's in a Q8 and they perform well also. Had to solder top them (boob job) - wish I could get them with button tops.
Very happy with the packing, quality and pricing from his store.
On one Q8 - mods:
- nickel stiff spring (no bypasses), tinning the contact rings on the tail PCB, SIR404DP FET, 70 mm 18 AWG wires, brass screws, MX-4 w/sanding to 2000 GRIT all contact surfaces
On 30Q BT's at 4.19V:
- lumens: 6770 at start, 6210 at 30 secs, throw: 62 kcd taken at 5m
On 35E solder tops at 4.21V:
- lumens: 6590 at start, 6050 at 30 secs
So only a 2.6% drop using the higher capacity 35E's, not bad.
Brad - wow, welcome back! Much enjoyed your beamshots! I recall you got a hot performing TN31, think a vn, at the time, also recall your into fishing.

Any reason why the LG HG2’s are not being used instead of the 30Q’s? They’re suppose to be higher drain (20a vs 15a), but I don’t see them being popular.

It may be because the GT is not a high drain light.

BTW if someone wants Samsung 35E you might look for Liitokala 35A they are using this cell. GearBest have them and many other on Aliexpress. I have couple of them and capacity is really good, truly 3500mAh
