Does this make the $150 buyers happy or does it mean they have to wait till Jan to order? I’m in no rush, but I know others will ask this question.

The $150 buyers will still get a PM about a week or so after the first 555. At that point the 555 will loose out on their “early access pass” but still be able to get the cheaper price.

Okay, that’s what I was hoping the situation would be.
I guess it does make everyone happy.

Ok, I am sorry to report that we made a mistake in the fee calculation for the final payment.
The calculation was done initially with an online calculator that uses US paypal rates which is where the $100.21 came from.
We just did a test order to make sure everything is working as it should and realized that because Neal’s paypal is a china paypal account it uses a different fee structure.
It seems they have a fee of 4.4% + .30 cents
The total works out to $101.78 in order to receive $97.
Anyone is welcome to check it out on this site: PayPal Fee Calculator | Salecalc.com
Just make sure that you select china under the country. We just used the default at first without thinking about it.
We are very sorry for the mistake. Neal can not afford to cover all those extra fees himself, so it has to be added to the purchase price as much as we wish it didn’t.
It is simply the cost of the paypal fees, no one is making any money off of this at all.
A full refund will be given to anyone that requests it.

This light would be really cool to have…
But you Guys who is buying this light, Are you buying the light because its cool to have, or needs it?
Because im thinking about putting myself on the list, but it feels like the only time I will use it, will be to show other people the light and see their reaction.
and I’m not sure I’m comfortable to spend around 200$ on a light that will just be sitting… convince me guys :sunglasses:
The light will be way to big and heavy to carry in a pocket, so there will be no way of using it when walking the dog.
That sounds fair to me! It should be first come first serve, but if some can’t pay right away, then the offer should move down the list to those that can pay! Like me!!! :money_mouth_face:

Thank you, but no apology necessary. Stuff happens.
And there is no way Neal, or anyone else; should be expected to cover PayPal fees in this. For this it is the buyers responsibility.
Thanks again for all the hard work!! . :+1:

I am purchasing this GT, for not only showing it off, but when I’m driving at night and idiots in the opposite lane that are blinding me with their bright lights on, and won’t dim them after I flash my bright lights, well I want to see their pearly whites! :disappointed:

I don’t even like throwers. Still, I might be able to use it at work. I doubt it will get much use which is why I will only use 4 cells in it.
What makes this light unique is that with most lights you can expect something better to come out in 6 months or a year that will surpass current lights. But this one is so big, I doubt any other companies will try to build a copy or clone of it. It’s going to be the “KING” for a long time. So why not buy it now for a cheap price?
If it’s beam is too narrow to be usable I can always swap in a 12 volt xhp70.2 and resistor mod the driver to deliver 5 amps. That’s good for about 6000 lumen along with a bigger and more usable hot spot. I’m guessing you’d still get about 1200 Meters throw which is way more than my hot rod L6 which has 8500 lumen and 830 meters throw. This makes the light much more practical for me.

This is allowed in the US?
In Europe, I think, you will get a ticket for this, weapon in the car or not…
And to answer Touchofred’s question:
I don’t even have a dog, to walk the light…
Maybe I am going to redirect some planes from the nearby airport using the GT…
And don’t tell me, they will also give you a ticket for this!

Ok, we are hoping that the PM’s will be able to be sent today (I know, I sound like a broken record lol).
I talked it over with Neal and he said that for the first 555 we could indeed give them some extra time since they have been so understanding with this project.
So we are setting the cutoff date for the first 555 as 12-31-17 (December 31st). That should give you a month to pay.
If for some reason you need to wait longer you can contact us later this month (when things slow back down some) and request more time or a refund if you prefer. These will be handled on a case by case basis.
Hopefully this makes everyone happy.
Today! Thank YOU and GOD! :+1: Jeezus H Christmas!!

I already tried this, you don’t have enough time to grab the light and use it. Maybe you should add some led high beam lights to get their attention? Now people behind you that run their high beams are a different story. Assuming your back window is not tinted, you can shine it backwards, but be nice, just a blink or two.

It is very illegal in the US to drive with your high beams on around other vehicles. Police will pull you over and ticket you, but it does not stop people from driving around like this. They blind everyone and can easily cause an accident.

I found the solution to this many years ago when I used to do off-roading at night. Looked silly in the day but boy, did it work at night.

I’m buying it just because it’s so unique. It’s intended to be slung and not hand carried for any length of time. Carried slung cross body the weight won’t even be noticeable.
Box Car, I hope you are joking. That wouldn’t be the smartest move even if you don’t get caught. First, to blind oncoming traffic is not the best move for obvious reasons (they’re coming toward you). Another is the road rage factor. You might piss off someone enough to come after you and while neither of you would be right, you definitely would have been the first actor. If I was a LEO and saw you do it I’d charge you with as much as I possibly could.

Only untill you do that and it happens to be a law enforcement officer. Then you’ll wish you ordered two lights cause you’ll be submitting one to the officer.

DHL usually take 48 hours to my place, so if I am lucky enough,I could hold a beast on Monday afternoon

My only request is that package be declared under 50$ value… 39,99$ would be great !
