So you are aware, you would be in the $155 group buy, not the $115.
1: The lights have not been packed up in final packaging yet, so no drop test video is possible. I actually need to find out the status of the packaging come to think of it. Last I heard they were trying to estimate how many needed single box shipment and how many needed 2 box. We also are just getting the manual finished this weekend.
2: Neal is better to answer this but I assume it will fall under the normal Lumintop warranty.
3: The payments are going to Neal first, then after he confirms the orders are valid he sends them to Lumintop. Neal has to match them up to all those that paid the downpayment and then sort the orders and make sure the information is correct before forwarding them to Lumintop.
This is due to the way the downpayments were done months ago, we will not be doing that again I can assure you of that but we still have to deal with what was already done.
He also will be involved in the packing and shipping of the lights, so he has a lot of work in front of him.
4: The testing for the light has been posted in this thread by Myself, Del, VOB and the other team members. The official ratings should be around 2000 lumens+ and 1mcd+.

I don’t know if it will help, but the light is designed to be slung. Carrying it cross body the weight is meaningless.

That sounds neat!! :+1: And like ‘southland’ said, it already is threaded for a tri-pod so you should be able to easily adapt whatever you desire really.
Good luck…….

No need for a custom. Did a search on Ebay for camera grip and camera handle, hundreds came up that will work. Leaving tripod mount out of the search brings up many more results.

Im not sure if this is possible now, but i have seen there are battery packs available to order aswell.
I ordered 2 GT and as far as i can see im 1016 and 1017 on the list so im on the second shipments i guess.
I would like to order 2 x battery packs (samsung 35E) for the 2 GT lamps im in for already.
As i understand these packs include 8 batteries and cost around USD 40 something.
Would appreciate if someone could verify the additional order is ok.
Many thanks in advance.

Yes, the 35E cells are available with the GT. You will be able to add it to your shopping cart on the check out page.
They are just over $40 for 8 button top cells and you no longer have to sign up for the group buy as they have found a source that should have enough for everyone (although still a good idea to sign up for the 35E anyways to help them keep track of those sales and judge future demand for later batches).

Yes, those should work fine. The only protected cell I own fit without an issue.

In other news an update on the packaging. They are still improving it since these pictures but this gives you an idea of what we are dealing with. I don’t think we have to worry about them being under packed, Lumintop does things right!
I am once again glad that lumintop came on board for this and other BLF projects.

Packing looks good. No wiggle room and enough crush room in case of any dented corners/edges.

Looks good!!! What is the overall size of the box (Length/Width/Height)?

A box that size and weight won’t slip easy through customs. I guess you have a 50/50 chance to pay fees.

That packaging is impressive. Lumintop is quickly becoming one of my favorite manufacturers.

Indeed! If it all goes well finish, workmanship and quality wise, I think they will be the go to manufacturer for new flashlight projects, hope they stick around the forum and are as open minded and willing to trust the community designs that come up in the future…

That is still TBD, they are making further improvements to the packaging as we speak (goes to show just how much attention to detail they bring to the table).

Indeed, yet they think they can improve on this even more! Very impressive, particularly when they know they have over 1000 lights that will sell regardless of these extra steps.

I agree, I will be honest I had an AAA Tool that I liked from them before this project but never really thought about them much before this project.
After having worked with them over the last 6 months that has changed, I really like what I have seen of the company so far and have taken a much deeper interest in their lights.
They have easily moved into my top 2 favorite flashlight manufactures.
