I was wondering about using warmer tint LED’s for bow fishing. My son said that he has used LED flood lights to shine the fish in the water, and it seems that the higher K temps are not that good for penetrating through the water. Perhaps a 3000/3500K would do well?

I can't tell you what tints will penetrate the water the best but from my experiences the higher the temps are the more likely they are to scare the fish. As soon as I put 6500K on a fish they freak out and take off. When I use a warmer temp, around 3200K, the fish don't seem bothered by the light. Nightcrawlers (worms) are the same way.

What’s funny is how hard it is to make it appear in pictures how big this thing is. If you think you have a practical use for this light, you probably don’t. It might look pretty good as a necklace light, but it’s super impractical. You have to know going into this that your hands probably won’t fit all the way around the barrel comfortably, it’s really heavy, and it’s awesome!

Of course I have a practical use for it. I’ve been needing a headlight for when I work under my slammed CRX!

Mine came in the carrier. They have little yellow stickers on the negative side of each battery!
