Did they have superhuman eyes? Mescaline and Marijuana don’t count, neither does ESP. I was discussing eyesight and that’s connected to the brain.

Take a time machine back 300 years and folks couldn’t see the colors we do today. I suspect it was more a function of the brains interpretation than a function of the actual eyeball. I did state that it takes practice.

Heck, go just a few decades back and folks saw all sorts of stuff on LSD. But they had the same eyeballs as we do today. I know because I have LSD free eyeballs from back then.

I’m fairly sure it’ll be too warm for me, but I will wait, finding someone that is happy to mod this for me within AU is going to be the challenge

+2 ….but in Adelaide

And thank you Dale for your efforts……good job!!

That is definetly a question for Neal as the BLF team had no say in it.

My guess would be cost reasons. These first 2 or 3 shipments are lights that were probably sold at a loss, so if Neal could save a little on the shipping cost, I don’t blame him.

Yes i now, TA say team have no control about shipping.

Cost reason? No change in cost i think. Just different in order way and time to shipping. Who get pm already sent money, like another.

Really nice tool - would be interesting to see how everyone with a GT scored. I managed to score a 3, so I’m happy!

:+1: …… 2018.

If any xhp35 on a really big mcpcb pop up for sale, it will be reported here. Then it is just a two wire solder job to swap it.

Don’t know how to solder? There is always time to learn. Tools are cheap and youtube videos plentiful!

Even doing an emitter reflow on the stock mcpcb is not super hard.

Imagine all the mods you could do if you practice and learn. Then all your buds in Australia will be asking you to mod their lights. Lol.

I am not familiar with shipping big orders internationaly, but I am pretty sure you get a bulk price discount from DHL when you ship a pallet as opposed to many misc small boxes. Maybe someone who knows more about the subject can answer with greater detail.

xxx, my guess would be that it’s far less expensive to ship in bulk to one country than a whole bunch of small deliveries elsewhere. But even if that isn’t the reason, it’s much easier to input the same numbers hundreds of times rather than making every order “unique”. 500 packages of similar weight and similar cost get shipped to those addresses. It makes sense from an error standpoint to do that. Then do it again with lights with similar cells. The place with the most orders gets fulfillment first for that ease of shipping. It’s pretty simple to test… just compete in numbers with the USA and we can test that theory (I have no idea where you’re from). But I have absolutely no doubt that someone wanting one light sent to Tannu Tuva will wait awhile for that unique shipping of a package since it takes far longer to figure it out and the possibility for error increases with uniqueness. (yes, Tannu Tuva exists)

It makes sense for Lumintop to handle the most orders first, then fewer and fewer, more unique shipping challenges later since they will take the most time to get them right. Shipping to the USA is easy. I would expect single orders from a country to ship last since they would require the most time and care to get right. Mistakes in shipping cost money, so yes, there is a financial aspect to it also. It needs to be done correctly. Yet another job I wouldn’t want. Factor in DHL vs registered and that also adds complexity.

Yes i knows about that. Whats i mean is :

Ship pallet : get discount, than small boxes (registered) : No discount. Total cost lets says : $$$$ This what happen right now.

Ship small boxes (registered) : no discount, than ship pallet : get discount. Total cost lets still : $$$$ This what i hope but not happen. :frowning:

Why you guys want to torture yourselves? :person_facepalming:
Just kidding…. I am too old for this. :sunglasses:

Just to add to it DENGOH, I got my 1st light a week ago and got my bothers light, with cells today. As I write the second carrier of cells is charging. I’ll test the light in a bit.

Folks, waiting is character building. But at my age I have all of the character that I’m ever going to have. I’m accustomed to waiting well over a year for things to be built after having paid a few $k for them. Patience. Eventually things arrive unless the companies go belly up. I think you’re safe with Lumintop since they aren’t a startup but have a business history.

But, since some of us have been calling into doubt the portrayal of reality~~~~>brain vs reality->brain, does that (cw) glare appear as distinct in person?
I tend to think so, but I like to play devil’s advocate, and it’s been a while since I’ve done an A/B comparison…

You Yankees are soooo lucky to have the privilege of being the first to receive the BLF GT! I live in Europe and seeing how slow the shipping is, I seriously doubt it will be here before the end of February…

Brightness wise, those beamshots show that CW is higher than than stock NW, but we don’t know are they having similar level of lumens. I wonder how to calibrate them to have similar lumens output since GT can do ramping.
Comfortable and color reproduction wise it is definitely the NW since it has less blue scattering lights.

It’s all about perspective. Think about all of people who are just learning about the GT now. They won’t be able to get one until long after you have yours and they’ll be paying almost twice what you did.

I scored 8. Not bad for 65

  1. on the list. It’s HERE!!!

Solder boobed some 35Es I got hurry shipped off eBay.

Anyone in the bay area willing to let me borrow a 4/8 bay charger to top off the cells? My SC4 is supposed to arrive from China when it does.

Congratulations! :+1:
