I too doubt a guy like Tom E would try to scam you. Maybe just real life issues got into way, and he was not able to finish or send it back to you, regardless of your agreement. I believe you will get your flashlight!

Hard to believe so few were damaged in transit seeing how they were packed. Would brass screws improve the lumens as it did with the Q8? I think it was JasonWW who had a translucent switch cover. I was wondering where a person could get one of those. I don’t see what good a black switch cover is.

Lumintop did drop test on the standard packaging and everyone was happy with it.
But I am not sure are there case by case packaging changed to suit for different shipping company cost calculation criteria.

I don’t think it will since it’s a buck design limited to 2.5A. You don’t really want more than that anyway.

The Q8 was a FET driver (direct drive) that had extra output potential. The GT is already maxed out.

Reducing resistance may still have benefits though. It may allow longer run time before LVP kicks in.

I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than myself can probably go into more detail of the benefits of reduced resistance in the GT.

The problem with the switch cover is that it takes a 12mm but nobody makes a 12mm in clear. So I had to modify a 14mm in clear which just barely can be made to fit. Here’s the link to the post.

I didn’t post a link. They are pretty standard and can be bought many places. I got mine from Kaidomain.

It’s possible the 14x6 work better, but I had these 14x8 sitting around from another project.

I wonder can they come out a list of not shipped yet order? It should be a short list.
This is to counter check who has not received any lights or tracking numbers but not in the not shipped order list.

I’ve just got the head in good condition.No water in the box.Just a pin point defect in ano.I had received the other part of the light 5 days before.
Put the batteries and it is OK.Because it is 10.50 in the morning here,I wait til night to check.I don’t like the tint either,it is very yellow to me,so I will swap another led,cooler, in it.

As Martin said, they seem to still be on track to ship the lights “this week” (generally means packing them on Saturday and actually getting them int he ain on Monday).
