Apologies for what may be a really stupid question.
I bought a silly cheap 2xAAA flashlight form AliExpress and it seems to have been just the batteries directly wired into the LED. No current limiting or regulation.
Having said that the actual aluminium body and tail and switch are cheap but half decent and may make a good platform for miscellaneous monochromatic LED frequencies.
My dilemma is … is this a 10mm or 12mm pcb? It’s rectangular and the base is 10mm, but it goes into a circular tube and the diameter is roughly 12mm.
