anyone mod a pd30? I have one that is
kinda just a backup light . great back in the day but wonder if anyone has modded one for improved performance
I don’t have one, but probably the first thing you’d encounter is whether you can disassemble the light… it may be glued.

darn it!
A little older but I just did a P2D and it was a huge pain to get open, had to resort to repeatedly boiling and freezing, probably 2 dozen cycles. The reflector got ruined in the process but that was ok cause the plan all along was to use a TIR setup.
I also refently opened my TK45 and took the body in half and that was hard too, did it with flame this time grey ano is more sensitive to change colors, black is pretty hard to change)
