Looking for a good, budget pen light. Something around the size of the Streamlight Stylus or Stylus Pro but in the budget category
. Something fairly tough that can still fit in a shirt pocket. I’ve looked at the Hugsby’s…is that my best bet? Let the recommendations commence and thanks in advance!
The Hugsby is your best bet. I love the one that I bought from here. Under $5.
Get the xp-2… It’s got a better driver that you can use with 1 x 10440 with a dummy, or with 2 x and.
I’ve had the XP-1 & XP-2. ( lost 1, gifted 1) Liked them both a lot.
Both are durable, reasonably bright SOLID choices IMHO.
Their performance to price ratio makes them a terrific value.
http://www.buyincoins.com/item/1391.html#.VLs9Vi4y2eM I filed down the pill from a little three mode zoomy to replace the plastic one, but if it doesn’t need to be very bright it will work as is.

No clip.
I’ve given out about 2 dozen of the SingFire clones of the CNQ S1 for a single cell light, also really like the real S2 for a 2AAA (havent found a s2 clone). As far as a true pin light, that’s my choice for budget (tho the olight, if still avaliable, is also REALLY nice and not to far out of the budget price, ~$30 if you can find them).
