I just signed up on bitly because I am curious what the heck is so great about tracking clicks for a personal user. If you can explain, please do. Otherwise, can a few people click this link to create some data in my empty dashboard. It’s just a link back to BLF recent posts.

Thanks guys, here are the results.

I can see where you could find peak times of the day when people are clicking your link. And separately you can see their IP’s country.
But not really worth the “i’m tracking you” feel that a bitly link gives.

I’ve learned I want to forget bitly. I just don’t like the looks that Bitly link I posted in the opening post. It screams “I’m tracking you” or “I’m monetizing you” to me.
I’m about to start a Youtube channel and I thought it would be useful to know when viewers are going to the description for links… and when nobody cares about a topic and I should not make more videos on the topic.
