Playoffs: Who are you rooting for?

The cards are now vapor. 7-0

Now I root for the Giants since they beat the Cards.

Verlander who?

  1. Giants fan for 15 years!

What is this guy’s deal? He’s beyond awesome and talented and on the national stage against the NL he can’t be worse. lol. He’s the reason he doesn’t have home field advantage this series.

He’s very good and he’ll be back. We got him this time. Giants won two years ago with players other teams had given up on. Zito showed that players don’t give up even when fans and media do. That said, I’m glad we’re facing hard throwers like Verlander and Scherzer rather than off speed pitchers like Zito. 3 homers on 3 good pitches, Verlander said it “WOW”.

Pitching, defense, and scratch out a run. Nice throw Scutaro! What a bunt Blanco! MadBum pitched 8 shutout game 4 2010. 7 this time and Romo’s slider is money. 2 to GO GIANTS.

Just read this article about how the Tigers were going to stomp the Giants. Oh how I love predictions. This series is far from over but this is priceless.

Bring out the brooms

Vogelsong at his best just does not make mistakes in the zone. For that reason a patient hitter can get a soft single or a walk but he makes hitters swing at his pitches. No cookies! The Tigers are hands down the favorites in a slugfest but the Giants have more speed and better defense and those don’t slump. Miguel made a great play but Blanco beat it. Only missed call other than the too wide strike zone.

That just goes to show you had the Giants not been in the way of the Cards they more than likely would have won the World Series back to back.

Angels fan here, not a great season, but i root for the Giants for WS

If the Cards had won game 5 would the Tigers have been less flat? Hard to say, but as much as numbers are a part of baseball, they are not the game.

Now that was a game. Coke and Affeldt matching K’s. The two batting champions matching home runs.

Sad panda here but used to it following Michigan sports teams, they get your hopes up only to let you down in the end, other than the Red Wings I’m always disappointed.

Some will look back at the ground ball that hit third base and call it luck, forgetting that Pagan fouled off 7 consecutive pitches before that hit. Good teams make their own good fortune. Over 50 years of disappointment here before but not lately. We’ve had teams with power before but never with so much pitching and great defense. Watching Blanco fly and Crawford scoop all year has been a real treat. Sabean seems to find the hungry ones like Scutaro and Pence for his midseason trades. After the first two against Cincinnati I was just hoping for something to cheer about. Verlander said it:“Wow”. It remains to be seen who management will be able to resign next year as a lot of the payroll is in the pitching staff. That we will be outbid for some players is certain and sad as I would like to see them all again next year but that’s baseball these days.
Back to modding lights.

Congrats to the Giants for being World Series Champs.

And congrats to the Cards for 2nd place.
