Please help me choose a new NiMH charger

I guess its too late now, but Ive had great success with the Tenergy Smart Universal Charger with the USB plug.

This one is nice since it has LED displays of the battery charge level, and works on AAAs, AA, C, and D, and 9volt. Making it great for my Fenix TK70. Plus its really useful around the house. There are a LOT of battery powered kid toys out there. :-)

The Universal part allows multiple battery types to be charge.

The Smart part means it is NOT timer based, but detects when the battery is charged. This is important as a timer based D cell charger will assume a crappy Rayovac or similar CHEAT battery where you are cheated and get a rewrapped AA cell basically. A smart one will detect my AccuEvolution 10,000 mAh and charge it all the way, instead of 1/4th of the way.

I dont care about the USB thing, but that model had the LED display and seemed to be higher rated. Unit is 35 bucks.

well done!

let us know what the firmware revision of yours is. it's written on the back (bottom side) of the monster. something like "0H0FA", thanks!

Just a size comparison between the Maha and the Lacrosse. Notice the wide gap between the batteries on the Maha. It's much better for cooling.

i want your stuff!! :X

share when you can, glenn! J)

haha

hey buddy, come to NY and I'll give you one of my chargers (the sanyo that came with the eneloops) lol!

The Maha MH-C9000 is a very good choice.

I have owned at least 8 different nimh and ni-cd chargers (over a period of 30 years) before i bought the Maha, this is really the best.

I'm currently using Duracell.
