This is an international forum and many deals, sales, stores etc are location specific. I can’t even put a number on the amount of times someone asked When someone asks a question on where to find this or that and when someone takes the time to reply the OP informs the people trying to help that they live in a different part of the world and the info provided is not applicable to them or some other similar situation.
I will not reply or waste my time answering questions like that if the OP does not bother to put their location in their profile or in the body of the question.
I always thought people who refrained from listing their location were with the witness protection program.
But seriously, it does get annoying; especially when someone says they received their item within 5 or six days and you sit there waitin' and waitin' and you don't know where the poster is located.
Agree!
Always come across questions, asking where’s the cheapest and fastest place to buy so and so.
Some of the US members here might reply, say “Mountain Electronics” but the TS might be from the other side of the pond or far east, making the suggestion not the best option for him.
I live in the place where we have square wheels, floppy heads, beady eyes, lots of snow, beer, toques, beavers, moose, hockey, 65% of the day is dark during the winter, and the largest producer of Maple syrup, & NFLD Screech Rum.
I don’t think counties would be very useful, there are 3,143 counties and county-equivalents in the United States, and many have names that don’t give a clue as to what country they may be in, for instance “Kootenai”, or “Switzerland”, or Sussex.
I agree i think i would only know just over half the states in the US and in other country’s i wouldn’t know a lot of the county’s or there equivalents lol
