It’s a brand light, yeah, but look at the output, you’d be better with a miners lamp on your lid tbh. It’d come quick, intloutdoor tends to take 2 - 3 weeks but which would you prefer? 200 lumen max, or 800 - 900 lumen max, plus for the cost of that fenix, you could have two good lights, both of which would smoke the fenix. I’d always buy a cosworth over a BMW 316 myself……
You said you are looking for throw over flood so you should stay away from XM-L and go with XP-G. The EDC comes with an XP-G2 and Eagletac is just releasing D25LC2 with the same.
The Nitecore EC2 has XP-G and throws really nice. It is also way smaller than all the others. Really easy UI with its side switch. It has low voltage warning, and can even tell you the exact voltage remaining in your battery.
The fenix E35 may have only 225 lumens, but it is an XP-E and will probably out throw XM-Ls with way higher lumen ratings. Don’t get sucked into the lumens game. Go with what your needs require.
That’s true, but it depends on where your riding, and your additional lighting. Most mountain bikers seem to prefer a small throwy light on the lid, to look where they look and a floody light on the bars for area fill - its hard to ride in a tight cone of light.
On the road, you want less light generally because you’ll blind on coming cars, but you still want some flood if the lights on the bars.
For my riding, I’m mostly on canal paths - no ambient light other than moonlight at best, I want plenty of flood and some throw. A well driven Xm-l in a 25mm reflector does the job fine. If I was on a harder offroad trail or in a wood, I’d keep the bar light and stick a thrower on my lid, to look where I look. For a back up, an xm-l c8 would allow me to maintain some speed and still ride safely. A wall of light I find, is more usefull as a single point light than a true laser beam thrower.
Or Scotland, Wales, maybe even Northern Ireland 
But although Flashaholics is a great dealer, the Intl Outdoors XinTD is a good choice. Don’t for god’s sake use that sterling/dollar converter, just look at the dollars, and then think “that was cheap” when the credit card statement comes in.

To be honest, I’m not sure whether I want loads of throw, just more than I currently have (I’ve got one of those mj-872 bike specific lights, which is very floody)
I ride on the road, and at decent speeds it can be hard to see whats coming up ahead with my current set up.
I think this new light could probably go on the helmet (Ive already got an assortment of mounts)
Since Im a road rider I dont/wont have a saddle bag, so it needs to fit in my jersey pocket along with my other bits and pieces. Although another alternative is stick it in an empty bottle and put it in the bottle cage.
So how throwy/floody are these XinTD C8’s, say in comparison to my current light?
The XinTD tends to be on the throwy side , so I sprayed a little bit of clear polyurethane on my reflector to get a little more light in the spill . I think it improved the beam profile for my needs as a handlebar light .
