Post pics of your cruiser!

thanks man! you should get one lol

I know, it's not sexy, doesn't have gobs of horsepower, and is certainly no chick magnet. However, in terms of shear engineering excellence, comfort, and economy this one is hard to beat. I bought mine 10 yrs ago with about 78k on the clock for $5k. It now has 219k on the clock and is still going strong. Rust will do it in -- am jealous of you guys who live in the desert!

Other than brakes and tires, the only thing I have done to it are struts, intake plenum, water pump, O2 sensor, EGR valve, TPS, and rebuilt the alternator twice. It still has the original exhaust and CV joints! Most of that time it turned in 30mpg highway. That kink of mileage and the comfort of being in your living room -- hard to beat. (Needs a lock up converter clutch but I don't have the tools to do it so it only gets 25 mpg now.)

Just picked up a 1997 limited from a little old lady for $2300. Guess one decade of driving one isn't enough for me;-)

I owned this 95 Mustang GT for 10 years. Sold it 6 years ago.

And this 92 Corvette for 2 years. Had too many problems with it.. That's a 40 year old me!

With its twisted left window frame.... heheehe

At first I had no idea what you were talking about, then I noticed! lol! I wonder how that happened????

For bimbling along in comfort

For days i feel a little speed is required

And for days fuel costs just too much

Charlestt you will recognise where my last car is in this pic then

I’m just down Glastonbury way

My daily driver the day I bought it. Which was almost exactly 6 years and 100000 kilometers ago. Toyota Yaris T-Sport 2001 model, now driven about 190 tkm. Bought it as a 25 year birthday present for myself. (for 30 I got myself a quality .22 rifle...). For what I paid for it, one could probably bought a brand new Mustang in the States or something like 3-series BMW in Germany. Cars are just stupidly expensive here.

I absolutely love this car. We've been through a lot together. I have had thoughts of replacing it from time to time, but it's just too good to let go. Never has it failed on me. I've always get to where I wanted to go. Sure, it needs service and minor repairs occasionally, but it's reliability is stellar. Got +35C and want to drive 130 km/h for eight hours straight? No problem, it doesn't overheat. Got -30C and want to start is after two weeks with no pre-heat? No problem, it just starts and off you go. It's not fast by any standards today, every modern turbodiesel beats it on in-gear acceleration and almost every normal passenger car over with over 1,6 liter engine beats it to 100 km/h. But I don't mind. It's handles great and the T-Sport trim gives it firm ride and good seats and stuff. Even has A/C, which did not come standard in that year. What it lacks is stability control and all that crap, so winter time mean lots and lots of happy handbrake action.

Other car in the family is Opel Astra H Wagon with 1,6 liter lawnmower engine. Just google it in silver and that's what it's like. Standard in every way. Gives no thrills, but takes me and wife to work comfortably, cheap and with no hassle. Or us plus our dog and two weeks worth of stuff and food (including gallons of beer, naturally) to our family summer cabin. It's ridiculously spacious for such a compact car.

2008 Civic Si

Yup at the corner with the most action/crashes :)

But don't worry st john ambulance are there with plasters lol

How crazy is this, I had to give-up 42 years of motorcycles recently, as well as flying. I picked-up the '03 FJR (first year imported, and every motorcycle imported required a depost, before shipped from Japan) so my wife and I could ride together again. She would ride with me when I first got the R1, but we both are older, and ahem...a bit heavier as well. She said she got tired of nearly scraping her nose around every corner on the R1.

Top box on the FJR is an OEM item, and I got it at a huge discount, when new.

I've had 26 motorcycles since '69, and believe it or not, my favorite was the 1984 Kawasaki Ninja ZX900A. The original widow maker. It's laughable now, but then, this thing kicked some serious ass.

The R1 piccie was taken shortly before I had to give-up my vices.

Jeansy, nice gixxer!

Think I'll stand in line for the new Ford Focus ST, next year. 4-door hotrod...just what the doctor ordered!

*Duplicate Post*

sold this one when my daughter was born Cry

1989 BJ73 MWB Toyota Landcruiser brought it stock with 83 000 km (51573 miles) on it before i pulled the spanners out.

p.s thats the darkest legal tint we can have in Western Australia

my daily driver 2003 Mack powered by commings

dirty old bitch, i dont realy like the mack,s ill be swapping it for a new iveco in two mondays.

i used to spend big coin on cars but not any more they dont hold there vaule and you loose to much money i like the older stuffer in good nick, most of my car photo,s are from the days before digital.

r1derbike, you from southern mass by chance?

Half-a-year ago I wasted my companion, the Saab.

I came to conclusion, that because it has been driven already some 220Kmiles and I drive well over 20K miles a year, it is time to change.

I never thought it was in especially good shape as is....

So, bought myself a 2006 Accord Tourer I-CTDi.

Drove it about a couple of months and since then, got 4 mates to share ride with to work... = made the new "expensive" car useless with 80% reduction in miles.

(How could I foresee that, 12years and 1 guy occasionally took rides with me.)

So...

Wasted the Accord which I had bought 2 sets of tires, made underbody corrosion treatment, regular services etc.

Did I say it rusted like a bare metal? Did not like water... nor could it keep water outside when driven to car wash.

Just tried to find a car in price range of 3000USD to 10'000USD so that it is cheap enough to be kept as a decoration on my yard. Also had to be petrol.

Got a slap in the face.

Checked about a dozen of cars which were seemingly in good shape per advertisements but were in total crap condition when I took test drive.

Realized: I shouldn't have sold that Saab for about a nickle, it was in good shape compared to others. Damn.

Well, got a reasonable offer to take an old Toyota Corolla wagon (2002) clunker in change for Accord.

It actually works - by all means and even has functional air-con.

It's already for sale now...

Not happy anyway, ride is pretty terrible on long haul and no Cruise. No drag hook (no idea what is the real word in english...) and a bit too small cargo space.

I HATE CHANGING CARS!!!
