Well the UPS that guards the AV and internet at home pooped it’s batteries about a week ago.
Got some new SLAs at Academy and put them in another UPS and hooked it up last night.
(Electric fence batteries work in a pinch and cost way less than an OEM replacement)
Got the AT&T up and running again. Takes like 5 min to reconnect after a glitch so I keep it on the UPS.
Power went out about 20 min ago. Got the LT1 and Q8 out and we have light.
Could also have TV but the run time was limited so the UPS is keeping the internet alive.
The Power Co says we will be out till 10:30 or so.
Luckily the temps have dropped ike crazy so we are not melting - as of yet.
We had are wildest hail I’ve ever seen. Instead of round balls, it’s more like a fortress of solitude crystal growth.
All spike-ie looking. Size of golf balls or a bit bigger.

Going to have to shut down the UPS before the batts get too low. Don’t need to replace then so soon.
Why o why didn’t I build that LiFe DYI pack I’ve been thinking about.
Oh well, I’d probably be using it down at the office anyway.
