Problem with memory on a Lumintop FW3A

Hello!

I am owning an original FW3A and a Lumintop FW3A. The Lumintop is my daily.

Since a few days I’ve got a problem with it:
Everytime I push the button to start, it starts in MOON. There is no memory.
I think I’ve misconfigured it, because mostly I put it in Lockout and sometimes instead of four clicks I am using three, five or what else… my fault.
This was never a problem - open the tailcap, closing it and the light was working fine again.
All other things are working flawlessy - ramping, stepping, whatever. Just the light starts every time in lowest (moon) mode.

But now: what’s wrong? Is it broken? I’ve tried to reset, but the manual from the Original FW3A does not work, and I don’t know what’s the correct reset-code.

Perhaps someone can help me, because this is really annoying…

The original version of the FW3A didn’t come with the factory reset function IIRC. Your problem sounds like you enabled manual memory via 5C during on. To disable it, press 5H from on. This assumes that it is still the original Anduril 1 firmware.

After studying the link:

  • I think it’s Anduril 2
  • There seem to be no reset
  • The config (10H from ON) did the job!

If it is Anduril 2, it will be easy to see which version it runs: Do 15C and write down the number sequence (short blink is 0, long blink counts 1, 2, 3 …).
