Production/Manufacture Date Soshine 18650 3400mah

Hi guys,

First of all, i’m a newly subscribed member of BLF  I will post a flashlight comparison thread with lots of beamshots and different flashlights i own very soon!
But for now i have this issue i can’t get any answers on.
I really like the protected 18650’s Soshine 3400mah with the panasonic ncr18650b 3400mah cell.
Too bad that of the 5 orders i made in the past months (total 10 batteries), only 2 orders (4 batteries) had a production or manufacture date stamped on the battery. I bought them all at DX.
Also the 2 orders that did have a manufacture date where different in the way it was printed. One horizontal and the other pair vertical. So apparently they are not very consistent.

Can anyone confirm they have noticed this and/or tell me if this is acceptable or not? I do not get any clear answers from soshine directly about this issue.
The batteries all do work flawlessly and seem to be legit soshine’s with panasonic cells.

Hi and welcome Ra226. l cant help you with the dates but if your happy with them thats good. I can only suggest using one of the newly available chargers or hobby charger to do a discharge test to sort your batteries out and see what sort of condition there in.

I think that’s a great idea, certainly since i use most of them in multicell flashlights. They are all relatively new and not used much so should have about the same condition in theory.

I currently have a Soshine H2 v2 and Nitecore D2 charger and ofcourse a DMM.
Can you tell me more about how to do this discharge test or what kind of charger you recommend?
