Protected 18500s

I was planning on getting some Keeppower/Sanyo protected 18500s from Kumabear but there is not enough interest for him to order them, so I have to look elsewhere.

Does anyone know of a place to order the keeppower 18500s (sanyo)?

I think panasonic has some 2000mah ones out but those don’t seem to be easy to find. AW has some which seem to be the most available right now but they test on average 100mah less than the Sanyos and are quite a bit more expensive. I know it doesn’t sound like much but at this size, any bit counts.

I can’t help, but I’m very intrigued as to what you want them for?

32600’s I get but what are 18500’s comparable to?

Two 18500 match length and voltage with 3xCR123 primary batteries.

There are also a few lights designed for 18500.

Ah, fair enough, forgive my ignorance

Every days a learning day.

hmm, maybe you could use 2x 18500 in the trustfire tr-3t6 in it’s shortest form. i measured the battery-compartment to be 10 cm deep. that’d be interesting to try, might order a couple if i get a job soon…

fasttech.com have protected trustfires 1600 mAh á $4.16
no idea about the quality though.

Kumabear actually contacted me again and said he might be able to stock the 18500 for those who are interested. Not sure yet though.

I am actually going to try and make it fit in a solarforce L2m. Cut down the springs, and possibly other mods.
