Any good deals happening on protected 18650? I just picked up 6 unprotected Sanyos to check fitment in my Maglite conversions, but I’m hesitant to use them in series, especially considering I’m planning on trying a 14.8 volt tube. I don’t plan on building voltage monitors for the lights, either.

Best I’ve ever got protected 18650s was $8 (shipping included) a pop, or a bout $7 per cell.

It looks like DX has gotten cheaper than that, but it comes with the fun of DX shipping.

Fakes and there are no reviews for the Sanyo but states 12 reviews and the prices do not match up

Yea, exactly why I’d like to avoid DX if possible.

I still want cheap cells though.

Try these Samsungs 2600s from Banggood. BLF code will get them under $5 a cell, $4 for quality protected is really pushing the limit.

I just ordered 16 of the Samsung 18650 2600mAh from Banggood, used the BLF code and final price was $66.32, $4.15 per battery:)

Looking at the picture, those are labeled as Samsung 18560-26F cells (with a protection strip added)
