The heir apparent is the Emisar D3AA which is almost the same size, and offers custom LED choices, plus more features, such as front Aux and choice of switch button color…

The D3AA is a better light in every way, including a more efficient driver, and regulated output with NoPWM. It also has a larger switch that is easier to use.

Plus a D3AA costs less than an SC21 Pro with an LED swap.

The only features the SC21 Pro had, that the D3AA does not, are USB-C charging, and battery included.

Note than Hank has not (yet) raised the price of his lights, to cover the new 22.5% tariffs… Not sure how long that will last.

Where did you get your D3AA, please?
Cause in INTL website the D3AA starts from US$ 35,00, and I think I could get the SC21 Pro cheaper than that on Aliexpress (maybe Sc21 pro is discontinued so I could not double check).

thats why I wrote it like this:

I recenty ordered a D3AA from INTL, for $42 shipped, with my choice of LEDs, 4500K 219b…

when the SC21 Pro was available, it cost about $20 (sometimes a few dollars less), but I did not love the stock LH351d LED…

I modded and sold a few SC21 Pro for $45.

Now that the SC21 Pro is gone, Im recommending people buy the D3AA instead… That gives choice of LED, plus Aux, plus a regulated driver w NoPWM, for no more than the price I charged for an SC21 Pro With an LED swap.

although, to be fair, a D3AA does not include a battery. so that does make it cost a bit more than what I pay INTL…

I did check Aliex today, I could not find Any SC21 Pro, nor on Amazon USA, nor on Sofirn site… I could only find SC21 (non Pro) on Aliex…

So afaict, there are no more SC21 Pro for sale… otoh, the D3AA is still available, and so far, the price on INTL has not gone up, despite the new Tariffs announcement.

I do expect INTL will have to raise their Shipping prices to USA buyers, IF a Tariff collection system is implemented. (but the Tariff has been Cancelled, so ignore the drama)

I expect the Tariff will be collected as part of the Shipping Costs that INTL will have to pay the company that transports the lights to USA.

This collection system means I as a USA consumer will be paying all the fees, at time of purchase. The USPS will not be involved in Tariff collection at time of delivery. The Tariff will be paid to US Customs, by the Chinese Shipping company…

btw, another option, very similar to the SC21 Pro is the Sofirn SC13a (same driver, but 18350 battery, and non removable bezel)

Caution, dont confuse it with the NoAnduril version SC13

I have a sc13 519a and the lockout doesn’t work correctly, at least according to the manual. 3X from off will lock it out but another 3X from off doesn’t unlock it, unless I precede it with 4X. Unscrewing/re-screwing the tail cap will unlock it though.

Plus it’s definitely not Anduril.

I wonder if the manual is wrong or if my SC13 is defective :thinking:

does sound defective, and I could not find any mention of a factory reset option

this review does say 3C to unlock (not 4C first, like you describe)

glad you figured out you can unlock by unscrewing (you could also “lockout” that way)…:wink:

thanks for making me aware the button can get pushed while in pocket, so the SC13 would all requires a lockout strategy… that makes it a nonstarter for me…

I also dont plan to buy one because the bezel is press fit, which prevents me from dedoming the LED (prying out the bezel causes cosmetic damage)

I encourage you to consider a different light, that is less likely to turn on in pocket without necessarily requiring lockout (for example the D3AA, if you dont need built in USB)…

if you want USB, and are OK w NoAnduril, the SC21 Mini is still available. It uses the same driver as your SC13, but the button is much smaller, and maybe less easily activated in pocket…

SC13A has Anduril, SC13 - just SimpleUI.

My SC13 unlocks with 3 clicks.

I should have said Hank has not raised his shipping prices to USA

the Tariffs were only for shipments going to USA…

but in any case, the Tariffs on shipments to USA have been cancelled
