Well if the specs of the Astrolux are correct, the Q8 has a bit more throw.

Astrolux Nichia version is the price worth alone in Nichia LEDs ($4 a pice)

But there are no reviews of the Nichia.

Q8 is the first light you can buy with full Narsil and it’s a BLF milestone.
Q8 is a bit smaller on OD. So easier to carry.

Are you already drunk enough to order both?

I am in the USA.
I had mine shipped Priority Air Mail.
I can check my Tracking number at FedEx.
Mine shows shipped at Banggood.

At this point… “Shipped” means a label has been created… NOT that the package has ’left the building’.

When the package actually begins to move it will/should show up on Tracking.

Personnally I’d stay away from unknown protected circuits, as listed on the web stores - no clue what their rating is for cut off of high amps or LVP, plus can add much higher resistance.

Not to mention, Jon and Richard are super guys, very supportive of BLF, but they also know what we want and demand.

Make sure the web page is oriented vertically on your phone, then swipe right on the item. There should be a orange trash can button.

I may have missed a change, but I thought the lights were drop shipping from Thorfire? If that is the case, I am not confident that just because my order on Banggood says shipped it is actually shipped. As teacher mentioned, tracking info is not active yet. If it really is drop shipping, then this is probably just Banggood’ way of saying the order has been passed over to Thorfire.

After the S42 flop, I will never purchase another Astrolux product again before seeing reviews, if at all. The documented procedures that show the evolution of the Q8 from concept to production give me more confidence in pre-ordering this BLf project light. Much more than the beautiful product photography and specifications on paper of the MF01.

Amen brother… no matter if it is being drop shipped or coming from Banggood, you can bet your bottom dollar it has not shipped as in ‘left the building’ shipped.

But this is not unusual… it is done all the time by many different companies & vendors, worldwide… not just in China.
It is nothing to worry about… it is just part of the process.

When it actually ships , you will see it on tracking…

But yeah, just like I said HERE …. all ’Shipped’ means right now is a shipping label has been created.
Absolutely nothing more than that.

But again…… nothing to worry about. It is just a step in the process, and the process cannot and will not……. be rushed.

Regarding the orders showing shipped. It is not uncommon for an order from China to show shipped for days before it eventually shows as beginning to move. One thing ordering from Asia has taught me is to be more patient. If like me you live in the USA and buy from Amazon a lot you have been spoiled by their 2 day delivery. Amazing how fast they get stuff out and also amazing how annoyed I can get when it takes a day longer, or when I order from some other US company and they take a week to get an order delivered. Chill.

I can remember the days of 6 to 8 weeks for a mail order delivery. Sometimes they would even say 10 to 12 weeks. That’s domestic, within USA, I’m talking about!
