No, I'm the one confused... Yea, personally prefer the clear cap for a LED, but expected the metal button. So, dunno at this point - just the proto or will be in the production run? Etc. Dunno what I can say or not say about it as well. Again, personal preference vs. group view...

Have to say I really like the looks of the light. I agree with the bezel needing to be SS but don’t really mind the reflectors. My main interest at this point is seeing it function as intended and seeing the actual performance numbers. I’m also waiting to make sure it is built to the specs you guys laid out and that they have not changed a bunch of things. So far though it looks good to go!

If one holds a SRK next to the pics it is really cool to see how the Q8 tube has flats in the exact shape as SRK tubes under the lanyard spaces.

We asked for the clear S70 switch for it is better against water then the usual SRK ALU switch with added benefit easier to have it lighted.

Ah yes, waterproofing. And as for lighting, do you mean for modders? Or maybe a +1 future revision with a lighted button?

yeah SB, we have to see this prototype first but for starters the switch like this makes it easy for modders to add stuff and Narsil supports it.

The reflector doesn’t look all that great to me…each reflector needs to be opened up more. Also, the machining on the reflector just looks bad…uneven…crooked.

Thanks for all the hard work of the big contributors. Very impressive stuff you all have been doing in here.

Definitely needs a bigger diameter reflectors that use all the real estate. I think the clear switch would be great for those of us that would like a lit switch for locating in the dark.

I like the clear side switch, the S70 switch is nice and an indicator LED will be a nice mode. It would be REALLY nice if they used a switch PCB that included pads for the LED’s leaving only the wiring for us to do (it would add no cost and in fact I best they could reuse the S70 switch / PCB).

I’m pleasantly surprised at the progress in actually having a working prototype. It looks good too…… :+1:
Personally I like the clear boot and it will surely be vastly more waterproof…. a very good thing.
A big thank you to all who have put in the hard work to make this happen so far.

These pics come from Thorfire, the light should be in transit or depart very shortly towards Tom now

Oops, I either missed or forgot we were expecting a clear side switch - it's all good. btw, the Convoy L6 also comes with a clear side switch in the bag of goodies, and the stock side switch PCB has 2 sets of pads for LED's, plus supporting wire pads on the back. I'll be using them for sure...

looks Gigantor!

Wow, the light looks fantastic. Good job guys. Lets hope it’s up to snuff when Tom runs it through the ringer. Can’t wait to get this ball rollin !

Miller, I sent you a PM

I think it looks great. I may be in the minority but I love how the bezel looks. It seems to really fit. Now I have to resist getting several…

Wow, really a beautiful light
I noticed conversation about SS bezel?
Wouldn’t a matching SS switch bezel look good, especially if it has a lighted switch.

Looks impressive. Thanks for all the hard work involved in getting to this stage. Interested in seeing the performance measurements.

very interested, sample looks fantastic - put me in the “list”!

Loking great! Bravo

Yes, I think the working reflector area determines the throw. They are often Siamesed with each other but not truncated at the edge. It would seem one could get more area by truncating the outsides as well. Assuming the available length is already used, that would mean moving the LEDs farther away from center.
