You Blinker will get one code.
To order your two lights. You have to order them one at a time, So two orders(transactions) in total.
First Q8:
Order one, pay/complete/confirm transaction.
Second Q8:
Order one, pay/complete/confirm transaction.

ahh ok , so every individual gets a specific code that allows them to order the amount of Q8s they are on the list for . If u are on the list for lets say 3, it would be more economical shipping cost wise to make 3 individual orders using the same code three times. However if u are impatient like me , u should be able to use that specific code to order 2,3,4,5 however much the amount u are on the list for and ship them together in one bigger shipment or even expedited shipping in my case.

I believe that Banggood is curious to know how many people here are wanting a cool white version of this Q8.
Put me on the list for a cool white.
Anybody else? Please speak up.

Where did you get that belief from? I think they are mostly interested in selling the NW Q8 flashlights of which 500 are waiting and 1500 are being made
took TF a long time to get the V6 3D LEDs.
On the plus side, much more people like NW, so I bet there are lots of CW LEDs in
laying in peoples part bins. Sure one can trade for the price of simple postage

If you go to the Banggood website for the Q8 you will see questions that people ask. A person named Flash answered by asking if anyone on the forum was requesting a CW version. If the demand is real, they would contact Thorfire to see if some can be made.
It’s not as if Thorfire will stop NW production and shift to CW. After all, so far it’s only 4 lights being requested. If I had to guess, the total might only be 20 to 30 lights. So maybe Thorfire could easily make a few to satisfy demand.
I’m sure Thorfire would eventually offer CW because its a popular seller. Due to the difficulty and expense involved in swapping four emitters, I would gladly wait longer for a CW version.

If I am interpreting the situation correctly there is no benefit to opting in early, and a possibility that some individuals who did so could end up on a waiting list for the third batch. The banggood listing shows “115 on alert”.
Yeah, I’m pretty neutral on cool white.

Either that, or Thorfire are afraid they might run out of NW, so they’re trying to see how many they can “downgrade” to a CW to ease demand from the (possibly more limited) NW ones. (This is all speculation. I don’t know anything.)

If you like NW, then you don’t have to say anything. All Q8 are currently NW.
If you prefer CW, then please speak up so BG and TF know there is at least a small demand for it.

I think it’s all very straightforward. Someone on the Q8 listing simply asked if they were going to offer it in cool White. Someone replied that they would like to know if there’s any demand on the forum for cool white and if so they would relay that information to Thorfire. Simple as that.
Keep in mind that Thorfire has not even been contacted. This is just Banggood asking if there is any demand for it.

I really don’t like cool white but if the BLF Q8 was decided to be cool white, I would have respected that choice. It’s a forum flashlight, a lot of people have put so many efforts to built it than for me, I’m considering that I have no right to speak up differently than what it was decided on previous consensus.
My 2 cents in bad english.

Opting in early benefits the project as it shows there is interest. If no one signed up early then Thorfire might have felt there was not enough interest to finish the project.
As far as benefiting the buyer, then no, the list order is being thrown out the window. We just assumed the early list signers would get their lights first, but we should not have assumed that. The actual situation is better, we all get it at the same time! That’s better, right?
By the time the first 1000 are boxed up and ready to be shipped the 3rd batch will be finished and will then be boxed and shipped so I don’t think there will be any waiting lists.
