I ordered a Q8 as one of the first 50 and chose Expedited Shipping Service, but it’s still not shipped I guess the rest of the process of making it ready for shipping is not expedited :person_facepalming:

Same here on 1 I ordered out of a bunch. We don't know what's happening. The others marked "shipped" may just be the shipping tag was created, while the express ones need to be picked up before registered, so hoping it just means 1-2 day delay of the "shipped" status, but actually is not a delay, if you know what I mean...

I am just being impatient, kind of funny because I have been waiting so long , and I don’t really need another flashlight.

“Shipped”can mean many things in China but let’s hope it actually means shipped.

A short time ago I purchased what is basically brand new a Klaus XT 11S, for $35. It is a great light, programmable, great quality, etc. But for $5 more I could have had another Q8 instead. I shouldn’t play that ‘compare’ game

Also the “reference number” on the FedEx page is a Chinese tracking code which works on 17track.

Make sure the web page is oriented vertically on your phone, then swipe right on the item. There should be a orange trash can button.

I wouldn’t worry about the insurance. Especially if you payed via Paypal. If it doesn’t show up or is broken then you can get a refund pretty easily. Most credit cards offer this protection as well. I did not do the insurance.

Purchase Protection is a free option that you have to activate in Paypal. Make sure you do that.

Well if the specs of the Astrolux are correct, the Q8 has a bit more throw.

Astrolux Nichia version is the price worth alone in Nichia LEDs ($4 a pice)

But there are no reviews of the Nichia.

Q8 is the first light you can buy with full Narsil and it’s a BLF milestone.
Q8 is a bit smaller on OD. So easier to carry.

Are you already drunk enough to order both?

I am in the USA.
I had mine shipped Priority Air Mail.
I can check my Tracking number at FedEx.
Mine shows shipped at Banggood.

At this point… “Shipped” means a label has been created… NOT that the package has ’left the building’.

When the package actually begins to move it will/should show up on Tracking.

Personnally I’d stay away from unknown protected circuits, as listed on the web stores - no clue what their rating is for cut off of high amps or LVP, plus can add much higher resistance.

Not to mention, Jon and Richard are super guys, very supportive of BLF, but they also know what we want and demand.

So I got 4 of the Protected Panasonic/Sanyo NCR18650GA 18650 Button Top Battery - 10A 3500mAh. I was wondering what initial lumen output can be expected from the Q8 flashlight using these cells and also their run-times on the different modes?
