I got the Rayovac Sportsman 70 Lumen 3AA LED Mini Lantern a few years ago, now they come out with the Rayovac Sportsman 150 Lumen 3AA LED Mini Lantern,
I want to upgrade the LED for the old lantern to same like the new lantern.
The picture is the LED from the new lantern,
Anybody know what kind LED and where to buy it?

Have you measured the voltage and amerage when it is on?
And how well can the light cope with heat?

It’s powered by three AA eneloop.
The voltage on high is 3 volt, low is 2.3 volt.
Amerage, I don’t know.
Heat, the light just warm if on for long time.

The driver is limiting your output. You will need to modify or change it to get decent output.
If you need a new led, I would put this.

20mm emitter
4000K light
93 CRI
80 R9

It should be really easy on the eyes for prolonged exposure, and give satisfying output.

But as I said the driver is probably giving 100-200mA, and that needs to be doubled from what it is now.

It the same lantern, same driver, just different led.
I just want the change the old led to the new led.
I just want to ask anybody know what the new led is and where to buy it.

It would be difficult to find the exact same LED used in the new model… that seems to be an generic 5050 SMD LED, normally not sold individually.

But then again you don’t need that exact same LED, there are better options out there, as pointed by mdeni.
