just ordered a acebeam uc15 and searching for some batteries to get before it arrives.
after searching ive read the grey trustfires arent really 600mah but closer to 300mah
im a vaperer so know only 18650s so can anyone give me some recommendations for highest capacity batts for this torch?

I have a UC15 also. You will need button top cells! I tried soldering some nubs on the cells, worked briefly but my solder job wasn’t good and they came off. I did see some button tops on E-Bay if u look there.
I run mine on NiMH cells and it’s fine, but a powerhouse on 10440s.
yeh from my local vendor i was going to get the soshines as they seem true to capacity and have button whereas efests say button top in description but photo looks flat.

I ordered both of the above, I don’t know that they are available in the UK but it seemed like these were odd and hard to find batteries only a few places to buy them from the USA

You can use flattop 10440’s by using the tiny 5mmX3mm, (W&H), N52 Neodymium round magnets. They work perfectly in the UC15 with high drain cells like the Efest V1 IMR 350mAh and they stick like they’re soldered to it.
High drain 10440’s are the ones to use in the UC15 and the 5X3mm magnets are available through most of the Chinese dealers here and others and are very inexpensive.
yeh thats where im buying from ust wondered if there was any genuine ones above 350mah.

I have the Efest and Soshine AAA's, use both in my UC15 with no issues,
I use above listed magnets on the Efest.
I use the Soshine. 26650 (4200/4500/5500).18650. 14500 Li-Ion.
10440 Li-Po.
ALL work well for me in Convoy L6/L2/C8+/S2+/
and the mix of little ones down to Astrolux AO1 and the like.
The 10440 Li-Po’s are Button tops. no problem.
And my 2 sets both came in a 4 cell pack. 2 x Battery plus 2 x Dummy,
to cover the voltages(1.5 to 3.2v) and empty spaces in double cell torches.
very thoughtful of them.
They NOT rated the top line in battery. but over several yrs.
No duds and ALL work to spec’s.
Do me fine at their prices.
I bought a little 100 pack of 3mm x1.5mm magnets yrs ago
for around $2.70 AUD del. Used about 6 so far on torches.
They do a good job when made up into a long board
with recessed magnets on there for kitchen knives.
Clear Plastibond and a wipe occasionally.
what is the diameter of the magnet - does it just cover the + nub or extend over more. Mine are larger and I wonder if they would work. How large could they be to short something?
dont magnets add resistance.
I have efest IMR 10440 since years ago and zero problems. Still working great
