Recommend me a rechargeable power source?

Hey Gang.

On here to ask a bit of advice really.

I was a click away from purchasing one of those cheap LIPO rechargeables from China from Ebay, when I looked around tinternet for reviews, which I found on here. A user opened them up and they where re-used batteries from a Laptop or something.

Anyhow, I’m building some low cost lighting, (LED lighting), for some filming. I have ordered some of those 5050 decoration lights and I will be taking apart some old Cans to make some low cost solutions.

I wondered if anyone had any ideas for some low cost power solutions. Ideally a transportable power supply, which isn’t too hard on the pocket (as I need four), that can hold some decent juice.

I was looking at some RC helicopter LIPO batteries, but as I say, I’m not expert and would very much welcome any advice one can give.

These are the lights I am powering.

I don’t know whether it’s relevant, but I’m going to be getting some of those dimmers too perhaps.

I use a 12v car battery for lots of things.

Yes, so do I.

But not to power an LED strip, I’m pretty sure there’s some other solution.

12V battery back up starter. Comes with wall wart for charging and lighter sockets as well as the high amperage cables. $35 from auto stores. Doesn’t have the Ah of a full size battery but weighs less and has a handle.
