Recommendation Please

I’m new at this so please be kind… Please recommend a flashlight for me. I would like a flooder, 1 each 18650, real memory, 3 modes (LMH) no blinkies, not sure what it’s called but “instant on” is as good as I can think of right now. When you can just touch the switch and it comes on without clicking and when you release it goes off. I would like for it to be a budget light maybe $25 at the most…. if possible, if not I’m ok with it. Don’t know enough to be modding. I’m afraid if I started that I would be doomed. I have a VERY VERY addictive type personality.
My modest collection…
1 ea. Zebralight SC600
1 ea. Unique Fire UF-F10
4 ea. BBQbuy@7W 300lm
1 ea. UltraFire WF-501B
1 ea. UltraFire WF-502B
1 ea. Keygos M10
1 ea. UtlraFire HD 2011

This is a very bad place for you . You will eventually be living under a bridge somewhere . Upside - you will be surrounded by all of your precious flashlights .

Just kidding . Sort of .

Buy a Sky Ray King from CNQG .

Edit : The modes and no. of batteries are not per your specs but it is the best bang for the buck flooder out there .

+1 for that recommendation.

What your spec suggests would be a forward clicky.

It would work best with a magnetic control ring/mode selection button, not really a budget proposition.

With a forward clicky, you cycle the modes then lock in the mode you want, not ideal for signalling but it is doable, a forward clicky could be swapped into one of your ultrafire p60 hosts or you could get a solarforce host with a forward clicky and a 3 mode xm-l drop in.

It really depends on your requirements. Your asking single 18650, so I assume you want something pocketable, for greater flood in a small package, you’d be looking at building/commissioning a triple build using a 20mm star, wide angle optics, xm-l emitters and about 4.5a driver, doable, but maybe not for $25, you’d want an m2 host from fasttech, 20mm 3up parallel board, optic, centring ring, some method of increasing the pill height to eliminate the reflector, forward clicky and appropriate contact board, then its just assembly.

I would guess you could build one for about $50, not sure where that sits with regards to off the shelf lights, but that to me, would be a pocketable flooder.

I started getting flashlights to walk my dogs in the dark because of winter…now I find reasons to walk my dogs later so I can use my flashlights in the dark, even after the time change, and I have 13 flashlights and still want to buy more… Run as fast as you can!

If you cant run…I dont really even have a flashlight that matches what you asked for in specs. What do you want to use the light for?

(SRK doesnt match any of the 6 things you asked for except flooder, but they couldnt help themselves, see how strong the addiction is?)

OMG I’m in trouble here…. and I thought I had issues, this is like asking the fox in the hen house.

I’m in no hurry and will wait if that will help………

I love flashlights. I put them all over the house, cars, camper, but I didn’t tell you that I just bought 14ea. BBQbuy@7W 300lm to give away as presents. I only have 6 left. Somebody help me out here before I’m a confirmed flashaholic and I’m kinda not kidding.

…. Bonus Downside - No electric to recharge your flashlights?

Sorry dude, too late for you. 14 SK68s? I detect an addiction to lights with a tendency to be Lumatic
I can think of one light I recently purchased that has decent flood with a forward-clicky. The Aleto XM-L 26650 zoomie that looks like an overweight SK68. There is a review thread on here somewhere. Its under $20 shipped.
It can be modded for higher output, and you always have a 26650 option for longer run time.
Other than that one, there is always a more involved mod of an existing light you have already.

Best value wall of light is a SRK, if you want a cheap zoomie get a SK68
