Reflector cutting/shorting off LED

I changed the LED on my flashlight and and the plastic ring isn't the same footprint as the old one. How can I prevent it from shorting out? The convoy didn't fit.

If you have kapton take you could try putting some of that at the bottom of the reflector; or
You can try filing or cutting the old ring so it fits; or
You can apply some arctic alumina epoxy to the bottom edge of the reflector as an insulator; or
You can order replacement insulating disks. they’re pretty cheap, but you’ll have to wait for them to arrive.

Thank you, I ended up using a SIM card uhhh card it came from and cut out plastic from it. Works great!
