1) are these batteries suitable for Convoy S2+ ?
2) the metal tabs on the terminals, are these soldered or glued? (ie how can I remove them without damaging the cell)
3) the batteries say LGABF1L1865, is there some things to look for to determine if they are genuine LG cells or fake?
1)Perfectly, I use exactly the same from the same source
2)The tabs are soldered, you can remove them with some pliers, then finish with sandpaper/Dremel to remove the last bit of metal.
3)Perfectly genuine, 3350mAh LG batteries.
Hey mate you can use them if you want. do you really want to break the power bank?
They appear to have a max discourage current of around 5 amps so they will work fine. The capacity is high 3350mah so they seem decent.
The tabs are welding on you will need to snap them of. You wont damage the battery by pulling the tabs off. Some of the welds and or metal plates will stay on the battery just make sure not to much is over hanging.
I found this link to a seller who has the specs up.
I tested the capacity of the LGABF1L1865 cells which I removed from Xiaomi 10,000mAh power bank using a Liito Li500.
The result is that they are ~2600mAh cells, not 3350 mAh as they are supposed to be. I guess they are fake cells and/or the powerbank itself was fake. Clearly 3x2600 cannot deliver 10,000mAh.
I am quite surprized you got fake F1 were they light purple - pink?
The name means nothing fakes are everywhere and gearbest does not care
I bought a number of off brands like LeTV AND Lumsing and both had real F1 inside
Note sure which one but the power banks had poor controllers (charged to about 4.35v :rage: ) so I pulled them I get 3100 out of them with my Li-500
I think you need to look for power banks that list the watt rating I have some 46-49 wh packs that have 4 F1
Yes, they are light purple. There is a photo in the first post.
I found a blog post discussing the same thing. Xiaomi Pocket 10000mAh Mobile Power Bank с которым что-то не так.
It is in Russian but from the translation it seems he pulls the batteries and finds they are only 2600-2700mAh. The date (Feb 2016) is approximately when I purchased this Xiaomi powerbank from Gearbest.
It is too much to be a coincidence.
I can still use the batteries in my flashlight. Just a little disappointed they are not 3350mAh.
