Replacement for 18*SFQ43 in MF01x

Hi folks its been a while since I’ve posted in this forum. I go fishing and clamming in the PNW a bit. My current clamming light is the Astrolux MF01s. It provides a wide even flood and is bright enough at 50% brightness to last over an hour of digging. On a recent trip I used a Sofirn C8F high CRI - with the LH351D 2700K @ 90CRI. I noticed it was much easier to spot the vent humps of the razor clams. However it doesn’t provide the wide flood and brightness of the MF01s

So Now I’m thinking of purchasing the newer MF01x and swapping out the 3535 emitters they use with some high CRI emitters. Does anyone know what would be a high CRI direct swap to the SFQ43 that are used in the newer light?

Direct swap? Since its a TIR, it’s pretty universal for 3535 LEDs. You could go 519A in 4500K or 4000K, maybe even some Fireflylite FFL351A leds.

I swapped mine out with FFL351A 4000k/5000k mix. I am quite happy with the result, much better than stock. You can check the mod out here.

Dedomed 519A would work similarly to the beam pattern above.

Domed emitters might also work fine, but haven’t tried.

This is perfect. Now to find where I can get some FFL351A emmiters.
