Returns to China

After reading about incidents where defective lights were asked to be returned for refund, but it was cost prohibitive ,I asked Pay Pal about their ” return shipping is on us ” policy. Here is their response:

Please be advised that our service covers international returns. Be aware that the maximum refund amount per claim is $30.00.

Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

While this does not probably cover the full cost, it may make it affordable and it may make returns feasible.

That would cover a single flashlight without any tracking or knowing if it will actually arrive. Better double that for tracking and guaranteed delivery. Maybe more depending on weight.

You are correct and import fees are another factor that may still make it too costly . I just figure on a high end purchase it my be an option . Hopefully we never need to find out.

When I needed to send something back, I figured out how much it would be to send my Astrolux MF02 back to China it was $92 dollars with USPS (by far the cheapest option I found). UPS wanted $157 dollars. The flashlight cost $86. So if I sent back the flashlight it would have been $92 - $30 = $62, if I was refunded the full amount of my purchase it would have been $24 dollars that I would have received back or about 73% of my original transaction amount lost. So unless the light was pretty expensive (as you mention) it wouldn’t really be worth it. I would hate to see how much it would cost to send something like the BLF GT70 back…

If it is because a Chinese seller like Banggood sent a defective light, then you are out money regardless. Even if I do enjoy modding lights it is still a bad transaction.
