These bulbs are fantastic for light, but one of mine developed a fault where the PCB became detached from the bulb. When I cracked it open, the PCB is just silicon glued into the rim of the bulbs casing which is otherwise just tube and provides minimal thermal contact.

So I’m adding a 0.7mm x 47mm copper disc as a backing for the PCB and replacing the thermal glue with arctic silver thermal epoxy.

I was also considering potting the driver, but not sure if this is a good idea or not.
