I would have been interested if it was quad XHP70.2. Quad XM-L2 seems wasteful for this 4 cell host. Thanks for the great review though!
A quick web search shows that this light has been out for about 4 years. Odd that Fast Tech would send this one out for review now. Especially, since the price is only $5-10 less that a Q8 at retail.

Actually , I picked it - Simply because it looked really interesting .
I don’t know , it could also make for a mod host down the track . Does not look hard to mod
Batteries just came , put them on the charger .
I did order stuff , a XHP50 emitter , and some drivers … + Empty P60 pills …
Want to see what the XHP50 can do , seriously thinking direct drive …
Hmmm , XHP35 , XHP50 , and so forth … Interesting emitters , but maybe a lack of drivers .

It sounds like you would like a Q8 too, it smashes this light in performance, user interface and price (there is always a coupon around to get it below $50).
But since you got this one for free, you got yourself a nice chunk of a flashlight, and I must agree it looks extremely bad-*ss :sunglasses: .

Yes , I must confess I have seen the Q8 @ banggood.com and it certainly looks interesting if not relatively powerful for the $$ .
Powerful is nice , I still like flashlights I can put in my pocket .
So ATM I have a hankering for a XHP50 P60 drop in … ( For the strangest reason )
Don’t know if it will be any good ?
Ordered one emitter and two drivers for testing . + Will test DD …
Flashlights have gotten interesting again …
