I got one too from Wurkkos team. I took it out on the beach last night and while I was impressed by the main beam, the mode selector switch, switch, and the order of the modes has me underwhelmed. I’d really prefer lock, main emitter, then side light mode, and tactical mode. Go from locked to main emitter is more difficult with another mode in the way. The switch itself is really mushy and firm in all of the wrong ways. I find it too easy to accidentally change brightness and a bit too difficult to turn it on in the beginning. As for the side light, automatically starting on flashing red and blue is really bad in my opinion. I feel like they have missed the mark with this one.

I sometimes rested my finger on the switch and changed levels or I accidentally pressed too hard to change levels and turned the light off. Selecting modes was tricky in the dark due to the lack of snap to position on the ring switch.

I agree. A better rotary dial and battery switch would really improve this light. Also not automatically having flashing red and blue but that might be because I’m an American.
In the UK the red and blue flashing light might cause issues with how our Police are being, but 50% of flashlights seem to be incorporating it lately.

Yeah I don’t get the appeal. I don’t think I’ve ever used that feature. And things being how they are, I feel like it could get someone in trouble in the right situation.
Would they get upset if this mode was used on top of one’s vehicle when broken down on the side of the road?
I think there are some restrictions here as well, but if the aim is only to warn other motorists ??? It is not like I would be trying to impersonate a police vehicle…
I have a few lights that will do this mode. But I have wondered whether they have enough output to be very effective in this situation.
FWIW I found the law:
A person shall not be in actual physical control of a vehicle, except an authorized emergency vehicle as defined in section [42-1-102] (6), that the person knows contains a lamp or device that is designed to display, or that is capable of displaying if affixed or attached to the vehicle, a red or blue light visible directly in front of the center of the vehicle.
I guess I shouldn’t even try it…
