Zweibrüder provided me with their newly revised T6 model free of charge.
It is instantly recognizable from the outside thanks to the sensor, which is now mounted flush with the lens; in the original version, it was recessed by a few millimeters. Furthermore, the temperature control system has been revised so the light doesn’t get as hot during normal operation (excluding the boost function)—more on that later. The time required to turn the light off has also been reduced; it now switches off after about 1.5 seconds if the button is held down.
The sensor makes this flashlight unique on the market. While there are already several sensor-equipped flashlights available, what sets this one apart is that the sensor measures distance rather than reacting to light levels, adjusting the lighting mode accordingly.
The range starts with a reading light mode at a distance of just a few centimeters, progressing through flood and spot beams to the “High” setting, which combines both flood and spot.
At the same time, the sensor prevents dead batteries and burn holes in pockets; if the light gets too close to an object, it reliably switches off after a few seconds.
The generous package contents include everything you need.
Key specifications of the flashlight.
The flashlight feels high-quality throughout. The selector switch clicks satisfyingly into place, and the button is easy to operate.
I particularly like the cover for the USB-C port at the tail of the flashlight; a screw-on cap provides excellent protection against water and dirt.
Operation is intuitive: the selector switch chooses the mode, while the button handles turning the light on/off and selecting the brightness level. The following options are available:
Mode 1: Low red light / High red light
Mode 2: Low spot / High spot / Spot + flood (High setting) / Automatic mode
Mode 3: Low flood / High flood
Mode 4: Low reading light / High reading light
The last setting used in a given mode is saved and reactivated the next time you turn the light on or select that mode.
A quick press of the tail button turns the light on or cycles through the brightness levels. Pressing and holding the button turns the light off after approximately 1.5 seconds.
In Mode 2, a double-click activates “Boost” mode, turning on both the spot and floodlights to achieve an output of 3000 lumens and a 300-meter range.
In automatic mode, the light ramps up to a maximum of 2000 lumens and a 260-meter range (High mode).
Upon activation, a green 4-segment illuminated ring around the tail switch lights up to indicate the battery level.
High light output generates significant heat; no flashlight can maintain maximum brightness indefinitely without adequate cooling.
Consequently, modern LED flashlights must reduce brightness after a certain period to avoid overheating.
Some users found the temperature too high in “High” mode, so the decision was made to ramp down the output sooner as a preventive measure.
In the initial version, the maximum external temperature measured in “High” mode was 48°C, whereas the revised version reaches only 41°C.
The regulated output level itself remains unchanged; only the speed at which the light reaches that level has been adjusted.
Fortunately, the limit for “Boost” mode was not altered; both versions consistently step down at 55°C if the time-limited Boost mode is activated repeatedly in succession.

I think the chosen color temperature of approximately 5000K is a good choice.
In the older model, the flood LEDs fell slightly below the black-body curve, resulting in a slight pink tint—a look that was very appealing and popular among flashlight enthusiasts.
The new model appears to use a different batch of LEDs that sit above the black-body curve, resulting in a slight green tint.
Conclusion:
It is a well-designed, versatile flashlight packed with features a true all-rounder suitable for any occasion.
A reading light for finding your way around your backpack without being blinded.
A red light so you don’t wake anyone up in the tent when nature calls or simply to attract fewer insects.
A floodlight for moving safely inside a building.
A sharply defined spotlight for scanning the edge of a field without being blinded by stray light reflecting off a nearby tree.
And the automatic mode is great for walking the dog, as it constantly adapts to the situation—switching between reading light, floodlight, spotlight, or a combination of spot and flood.
However, there are two things I would like to change about the light:
1. I would prefer to turn the light off with a quick click and cycle through the brightness levels by holding down the button.
2. I would like the reading light to have a warmer color temperature below 4000K, ideally 3000K and a high CRI value for good color rendering.
It makes sense to choose a more efficient LED rather than a color-accurate one for the main beam, but the reading light has a negligible impact on the light’s overall performance.
That is why I would prioritize good color rendering there so colors appear correctly when reading maps and a warmer color temperature,
as it is less tiring for the eyes.
