Right angle light with no more than 2 modes

Hi,
What is your suggestion on an angle light with the following:
1x18650
250+ lumens flat
Hi only, or Hi-Lo only
7’’ or less

As far as I’ve read, Zebralight offers three modes with two submodes each, which is way too many for me. The same goes for Armytek. The few Pelican, Koehler-Brightstar, and Nighstick lights require proprietary charger, and/or larger than 7’’.
The closest I can find to my preference is the Streamlight Vantage 180 X, which can take 1x18650, 1x18650 with micro-USB port, or 2xCR123s. I just can’t find a lot of reviews on it.
Any other suggestions for me?

So I will try to explain this again.

The New ZL interface lets you program 3 different groups of any levels that you like.
Each group CAN have 3 levels in it and each level CAN have different sub-levels that you can easily switch to too.

But you could just program all 3 levels in a group to the same level and not let them know about the sub-levels at all.

Each group considers one of 3 button press actions as calling for a specific level that you can program.

So you can make the single press,press and hold and double press all the same level and then the light will act like a single level light at whatever level you want.

You could also make a 2 level light by making the single press one level and the double press and press & hold the same 2nd level.

The flexibility of the UI is pretty amazing and different than most others and can allow for some unusual options for sure.

Also the Streamlight 10 Tap program can be 1 or 2 levels if you want and they have a newer right angle light that has that interface too.

Can I program to only one or two levels, no matter how many times I click? I simply don’t need, or want that many modes, and prefer that only two modes, at most, are available. This is why it takes me more time to find a flashlight. I do appreciate the input.

It’s a 14500, but the Nicron N7 is a great little light with two modes. kind of a high/med but pretty inexpensive if you want to get something to start with.

The ZL can be used like it only has 2 modes. 1 click brings up high. 1 long press brings up low.

Yes, you can. It’s possible to program it to have one level. Or 2. Or 3… Or 6. Or 18, because it has 3 decks (5 or 6 or 7 clicks).

Yeah, as already mentioned, Zebralight, and program it the way you want. 2 modes if you want, or just 1. You can decide whatever you want single-click, double-click, or long-press to be, and just set the “sub modes” to be exactly the same so they won’t do anything different.

It takes about 5 minutes to program it the way you want. You only have to do it once, though. And you have a couple of mode groups, if you ever decide you want a different set of modes for something else, though you don’t have use it.

I set up my Zebralights with a couple of custom mode groups: one for indoor use (mostly dim modes), and one for outdoors (a broad range of outputs). One Zebralight I use on my bike, and that’s set up more simple because I mainly just use a couple of modes for it.

You’re gonna love the ZL I got mine as a present a few years ago and I don’t touch any of my other 90* lights anymore. They’re all on backup duty.

Well usually the versions on sale are not the current latest versions anyway and those are the ones you will need to enact your 1 or 2 mode plans too.

I imagine that this is one reason they put them on sale?

Only the latest most current new UI versions will really setup the way you are asking for in this thread and those are in general not on special sale pricing.
