You need a van full of tools to change a solenoid? Wow I’ll have to get in touch with the Guinness book of records for the most tools used to change a solenoid. You legend. I didn’t know any world record holders until now. I feel so privileged. Maybe work will give you a pay rise?
I have the impression that Gords has been doing what he does for awhile, so he probably knows exactly what tools he needs, plus he probably has stuff in his van for whatever unforeseen things he might run into.
I have enough spare parts in my van to build a new fridge if necessary.
It MIGHT be a solenoid valve or coil, but it could be anything, you just dont know till you get there, and going so far, you have to be able to do the job in one visit or have a good excuse why you cant.
if the fridge fails, the vessel could blow off 50 tonnes of c02 a day……
Your welcome.
ohaya. MRsDNF is very serious. Just not very often. Mr gords is on the right track. He’s been at it for awhile now so maybe it was a good idea he took the Guinness book of records van with him. I always carry a shifter (Crescent wrench) with me in the car but It was not enough to fix a job the other day as the shifter was metric and the horrible nut was an old imperial size.
There was also a class action lawsuit against them for the faulty radiators. There was an internal weld between the coolant side and the transmission fluid side that is known to fail. It mixes the two and kills the tranny. Cost me $3,000 to put a new transmission in it at like 92k miles. a 2008 with 92k miles should not need a new transmission when i have had the same tires on it for over 60k miles
Whoops. I better have a drink I got my slow and fast mixed up. Its fast. At 111 Km/H its showing 100 on the speedo. The mileage meter though funny enough is pretty accurate. Its a current model Nissan Navara 2WD. The last one I had was exactly the same amount out. The wifes Hyundai I30 is spot on. The accuracy of a speedo by law in Australia is plus or minus 10. The speed cameras are set up to book you at 3 over.
There was a particular model Falcon sold here that had the same problem. Class action against a car manufacturer? I don’t think it would ever happen here.
