Rofis R2 modes with eneloop - resolved

I purchased this light in the recent sale on Amazon. I was checking it out with a rechargeable NiMh today, and found it only has low and medium modes, no high. The literature that comes with the light shows what I would interpret is high for 1 minute, then step down.

Did I miss something here, or does the light not have a high mode with non lithium rechargeable. I tried an eneloop and a duracell NiMh, same result with both. Even double click does nothing. Strobe modes work. moonlight works. Just no high mode. Was considering buying some lithium primaries, but having second thoughts . . . .

This is from the manual which I am not sure that I have ever seen before?

So it seems to replace the Turbo with High on an Eneloop and does seem to have just 2 speeds unless you know otherwise.

“After switching on the flashlight, long press and
hold the button for more than 1 second; the
flashlight enters ”Low - Medium - High ” modes in a
cycle. Release the button to select the current
brightness mode. Ni-MH / alkaline batteries for
LOW and MID mode cycle.
Turbo Mode
When the flashlight is either switched on or off,
rapidly double-press the button, the flashlight
enters Turbo mode. When using Ni-MH / alkaline
batteries, double-click the switch button, the
flashlight into the HIGH mode.
Moonlight Mode
When the flashlight is switched off, long press the
button for 1 second, the flashlight enters Moonlight
mode.”

Thanks avservice! I tried double clicking, but I was sitting in my house in the middle of the day and it did not seem like there was a difference between the 90 lumen medium and 300 lumen high. I now realize that, there is not really a big difference. But now when I go to a darker part of the house, I do see the difference when I double click.

Guess I should have read the manual.

I think I have heard others mention, the mode spacing is not the greatest on this model. Medium at 40 - 60 lumens would be better, probably 40. Anyway, I still like the light.
