Is anyone familiar with a Ruger flashlight, called the M77? It is now probably almost 15-20 years old, or thereabouts.
It is/was an awesome tactical device, running on 3 C batteries. The stated lumens are 360 in high mode. (Doubtful; but perhaps close when it was produced)
It has 3 modes: high, low, and strobe. No other modes or options, and to change modes you press the switch.
If you do a search, you’ll find it on cheaperthandirt site from when they were selling it. Not much info; but you will see why I’ve kept it this long….a fairly heavy, large headed height crenellated bezel tactical “tool!” (That just so happens to produce light, lol)
I’ve NEVER attempted to “build” from scratch, or any other method, a flashlight. But I’d love it were this to be done with this host body.
Anyone interested in chiming in? Costs? Is it even doable? Any novice details I could understand?
Thank you!
