S3 - Triple XP-G + FET Driver - what as a EDC-Step up?

Hello my dearest people of thy Interwebz.

I have built a grey Convoy S3 EDC with a triple Noctigon XP-G2 S2 and the DIY-FET Driver from RMM + Samsung 26F

Now I ordered a green S2+ - And because my absolute favourite color is green - I want that light to be brighter as the S3 - but how?

Will a triple XP-L Hi be much brighter or is that useless for a single-cell light? Or will I need a high-current cell for that (and which? Purple Efest?)?

I don’t want a 2*18350 light, so no XHP50 or XHP70 built :wink:

Using something like a Samsung 30q will make your current light brighter.

A triple XPL will also be brighter. Either way, get better high drain cells

The triple XP-L Hi 5000k is very nice—The 3c if you like a slightly more neutral 4700-5000k—To me the XP-L blows away the XP-G2 night and day—I would use copper spacer —I also like the guppy firmware that way you can pick what modes you like—you can only get around 30seconds on direct drive—from my testing 2.4amps is about max for continued use —- 30% (1.75amps ) is more than enough light in most cases—direct drive with a 25R ,VTC5,Efest purple yields in the 10+ amp range— 30Q around 9.5amps—Pany BD & PF around 9amps

I din’t realize that my 26F can only give out ~5A, so I will buy some 30Q or VTC5 for that.
