Hi everyone, I’m new here. Today I am sharing the test data of Samsung INR21700-50S CCCV 40A discharge. It has also been compared with Samsung INR21700-40T. Please take a look at the discharge curve.

Hi BELFINE,
is there any particular reason why you used the somewhat atypical CCCV discharge mode instead of the standard CC discharge mode? For casual passers-by, these results can be confusing. If we look at your (otherwise very nice graphs) we can clearly see the atypical current waveform (blue), where in CCCV discharge mode the voltage (red) is kept at the constant 2.5V, but the discharge current (blue) is falling rapidly down to zero. Common practice is to maintain a constant current in CC discharge mode.
In other words, neither the 50S nor the 40Tx will deliver their rated capacity at 40A continuous in a standard CC discharge and both will overheat to the 80°C temperature limit.
2 Thanks
