Found a cheapy BSA LLCP 650nm red laser, 85 lumen zenon bulb flashlight combo at a garage sale for a buck. This isn’t going on a firearm of any sort. Bought it to play around with, never had a laser before, not even a pointer.
The flashlight is missing the switch. Shorted the battery to the case, and it emits a pretty dim beam. This could be a host for a future led mod?
The laser doesn’t seem to fire up, even though the 3xLR44 (1.5V alkaline) batteries seem o.k. Could be the switch wiring, haven’t got to that yet. The main question here is why would you have four momentary switches on the laser? Don’t have the instruction manual, and couldn’t find one on the net. Do I dare short the tailcap like the flashlight?
