Searching protected 26500 Li-Ion batteries

I search a replacement of this “very old” AW 26500 protected 3.3Ah batteries:

The lenght is 53mm, the maximum diameter should not exeed 25.5mm.

Maximum continuous current needed is ~3A.
(A Protection is needed, its a 2S configuration.)

Just an idea. I’ve never heard of 26500, but the 18500 format seems more available. How about two protected 18500 batteries with a sleeve?

Hmm… that’s a tough one. If you can’t find any, I would use 18500 protected and then add a sleeve to fill in the space.

I know I could change the flashlight to a single-cell 26650 setup with more capacity and more current but….
I will lose the (very handy) stepless brightness control with the aluminium knob. (Trim pot)
