With manafont.com not working, I’m looking for a dealer selling Ultrafire 501a host body’s for maybe under $8 USD.

Anyone have a source ?

Not sure if that f.tech L2M will take a 18350 also but all 501a’s do.

Thanks so far guys, I’m looking for the 501A form factor because it’s one of my EDC lights and everyone in my “family and friends” wants one.

I like them cheap because not everyone appreciates “free gifts”, and I’d rather not invest in that. For the ones that do appreciate probably the best flashlight that they’ve ever owned, I can then look into upgrading their light body to something better later.

My wife used to make fun of my flashlight hobby/addiction, now she proudly has a 501A, and a Solarforce L2M that she’s kept full sized.

I’ll probably give away 6 to 10 of these lights in the coming year. I just usually buy 3 or 4 at a time and build them as time permits. I was surprised to find Manafont was down a few months ago, and hoped they would return to business.

So I’m still looking for a low price on this UF-501A host if anybody finds one for me!

I used to lust after them until I found how easy it is to get 18650s, plus I can’t find cheap budget CR123s or 16340s…

I assume part of the attraction is they take 18350;s and they are light weight .

You are correct Boaz, I have 3 in pretty much daily use, and I’ve given away several too.

I build the P60 pill with a Cree XP-G, and Kaidomain’s 1520mA driver. I customize the modes as needed. My EDC lights are low to high, no memory, tactical/defense lights are high to low or high mode only.

These circuit boards max out at 4.5 volts or so and won’t take 2 cells in series, so the can use 123’s.

This prevents someone from getting the idea to improve my light and burn it out!

If they show enough sense to use them correctly over time, I offer to, or show them how to, upgrade the light body to handle 18650 cells if they wish.

Anyone got any reviews of the trustfire l2m? Im wondering if it would be an ok host for a light grenade. I guess if there are no reviews ill just have to bite the bullet and do one myself.

The trustfire L2m is ok it's the same as the early fake 16340 solarforce hosts ..Not much to go wrong here ..the down side is they are 16340 only and will not take a 18350 like the solarforce L2m will .

the 502b isn't what the OP is looking for he's looking 16340/ 18350 not a 18650 host
