It seems like every model is getting a V2. Any word on if there will be a D1 V2?

Haven’t heard about the D1 but there will supposedly be a D1SV2:

In the german TLF somebody quoted Hank: “… we do have the plan for the D1SV2, with truely constant current, bigger head, USB-C charger, 21700 battery, should be 50kcd+ with the Osram LED. There will be XHP35HI options as well.” And futher on he said it should be available in the next 1-2 month. Sounds extremly exciting! But bigger head+osram LED = 50kcd? Maybe a mistake? Should be much more, shouldnt it? Cheers, Michael

Damn these look nice, but am I right in reading that this weighs double of the regular D4V2?

Also kinda worried over time and use, the white rubber on the switch will turn yellow/brown

I’m guessing it’s the same as the normal Emisar lights, where the pocket clip just comes as a separate clip which you can clip onto your light

The switch LEDs are the same as the aux and mimic the behavior when the light is off. When the light is on, a white LED ramps up and down with the main LEDs. Not sure about the blinkies though. That would be sweet on Candle or lightning mode.

I second this, ordered mine as soon as it was available, but had no option for the raised switch retaining ring. I’d EDC this one if it wasn’t for the button being exposed.

Just got mine Monday. WOW! Probably my favorite light at the moment.

The switch LEDs (4 of them) are white. They ramp up and down with the main emitters and it is a nice touch.

Quite.

It really feels premium due to the weight and workmanship.

I don’t mind the weight, because I’m not backpacking and it fits right in my pocketwatch pocket on the jeans I wear most days. This keeps it from moving around much and from being scratched by the items in my other pockets. If I had to wear slacks or shorts it might be more annoying.

It sometimes rides in the backpack I usually have with me (when I’m carrying a different light in that pocket).

When you have the AUX set to that heartbeat mode, it seems to follow the same pattern.

It matches the strobes and lightning mode, but it seems like in candle mode there isn’t enough resolution to match the flicker.

Battery check also blinks the switch.
