I did a MT-G2 mod with the tc300 as well in 2013, and posted it with a few pictures here:
crash-testing a MT-G2 on a copper Noctigon, graph done, mod done and repaired :-) , post 27 and 36.
At the time I just tested the MT-G2 for the first time and I wanted to demonstrate that the MT-G2 could be run direct drive on two 18650 cells, so there is no driver in it (it runs at more than 8A on good cells). It turned out that the MT-G2 works very well with the OP reflector of the tc300, it gives a very smooth beam with a large but distinct hotspot and lots of spill. I still like it so much that at some point I will put in a zener modded 17DD driver in it for lower modes (these great drivers were not developed back in 2013). Btw, I like the ultra-matt dark brown anodising very much!
