Hello everyone :slight_smile:

I’m just about to buy a Shadow TC6 for my wee bro for a surprise, I’m sure he’ll love one.

Anyway, my problem is that I notice the seller only offers it to come with unprotected cells, so I did a bit of research on here, and it also seems the folk here with one only use unprotected cells… BUT does anyone have one using Trustfire Protected Flame cells? I’m led to beleive that as protected cells go, they’re not as big as some unprotected cells…

I’d hate to buy him this torch only later to discover that his cells don’t fit and that he’d then need to wait 3/4 weeks for cells that fit to appear in the post.

Also, I can’t buy him unprotected cells to go with it, because I’d then feel I need to get him a better charger than he currently has too, and I can’t afford that combined expense at the moment.

So, hoping someone has a TC6 that takes Protected Flames!!…

I’ve just tried my trustfire 3000mAh protected batteries with the TC6, seems fine.

My TC6 will only work with unprotected or my protected TrustFire flames, none of my other protected batteries will fit. So if they are short protected then yes, it will work with protected. I also found removing the plunger thing from the tailcap and using just the spring gave it just a bit more room.

I’ve ordered it now for him. It’ll be a nice surprise for him, he has no idea he’s getting it. Lovely looking torch I must say, but I should still wipe the floor with him with my new Terminator lol :open_mouth: :bigsmile:
