Should I be concerned?

I should be receiving a SolarForce L2 tomorrow or the next day. I have been somewhat avoiding 18650 lights because I really don't need more lights and don't have a need to deal with 18500 lights/batteries/chargers. But...Foy convinced me I need a SolarForce L2 of some sort.

So I purchased a SolarForce L2, with a bunch of customizing goodies like drop-ins, bezels, lenses, etc. (P60s are cool).

I also purchased the "Ready to Go Kit" which consists of the pouch, 18650 batteries x 2 and Multi-battery home and car charger.

My question is, should I be concerned about using this combination charger and battery. If I like the light, I will consider AW 18650s and a good qualilty charger (Pila?). If not I will abandon Li-Ion and continue with NiMH batteries.

What can you tell me about SolarForce Li-Ion batteries and chargers?

I have gifted the charger and cells to two burgeoning flashaholics, after using testing them well.

The charger charged to 4.16-4.17 volts predictably. The cells themselves are Sanyo-based, an as such are quality cells. My only gripe is the wrapping on the SF cells is a bit brittle. This can be remedied with some shrink tubing when (not if) this occurs)

Please don't sweat. It's a very decent combo, well worth the $$$.

EDIT: Please check out Callie's Kustoms for a top-quality cell - they use the same core cell as AW and Redilast. Member xxllmm4 here is the owner.

The cells are well matched, low internal resistance and they can handle decent current draws, the cells are keepers in my opinion.
